TUMACACORI
MISSION
This national park protects three Spanish mission
ruins in southern Arizona, Tumacácori, Guevavi, and
Calabazas. The park was established in 1908 to protect, preserve and tell the
story of the old Spanish and O'odham mission church.
The Mission is
located on 310 acres at the town of Tumacacori, Arizona. Explore the adobe
structures or visit the Tumacácori National Historical Park visitor center.
The park is
located at exit 29 off of Interstate 19, fifty miles south of Tucson, Arizona
and eighteen miles north of the international border with Mexico at Nogales,
Arizona/Sonora.
