CAVERNS STATE PARK
This massive limestone cave was
discovered in 1974 by two amateur cavers from
Tucson. The world-class formations are
considered to be some of the best in the world.
The cave was kept a secret for 14 years in order to
protect it from vandalism and preserve its delicate
ecosystem. The cave boasts over 13,000 feet
of passages and two rooms the length of a football
field! The temperature inside the caverns
average
68°F year round with 99% humidity.
Enjoy a guided tour or visit the Discovery Center. Shaded armadas, outdoor
dining area, camping, hiking and walking trails
await you.
